ST PETERSBURG, March 23, 2020 –
As the COVID-19 (Coronavirus) Pandemic continues to evolve, we know it is increasingly top of mind for our employees and our members throughout the country. Our number one priority right now is ensuring the health and safety of our employees and customers alike.
Thanks to a massive effort from our management and technology departments, we have been able to migrate all 400+ of our employees to safely working from home with no jobs being lost.
All employees, both salaried and hourly, will continue to be paid and receive their benefits as usual in order to minimize disruption during this otherwise tumultuous time. "With the environment being so fluid and things changing dramatically day by day, we have chosen to take the action that we believe is best for our employees' personal health and the financial health of our company" said CEO Stuart Reed. In light of the recent restrictions on public transportation, we also realize millions of Americans will now be forced to rely on their vehicles, and we stand ready to assist.
"Our contingency plan ensures that the thousands of customers who currently rely on PMC will continue to receive best-in-class service from our claims and customer service departments" said Chief Information Officer David Patterson.
We will continue to remain open during our normal business hours going forward, while we monitor the ongoing COVID-19 Pandemic and take appropriate action as needed.
